How the Copper is Made

 This Copper comes from Santa Clara del Cobre in Mexico and is made by hand. The Craftsmen start with raw copper blocks then pound and shape them into the pieces you see here. While machines are used for polishing, the bulk of the work is still done by hand as it was done in the olden days. 

 

Here is a raw Block of Copper before it is pounded into shape.

 

This is a Coppersmith Heating two Pots to prepare them for pounding and shaping.
